Character Creator

Assembly

Assemble your character from a wide range of different heads, hands or legs/feet. You can switch out any part with any other (per category), and FurryVNE will make sure everything fits together.

Body types

Apply a body type to your character. There's a long list of both feminine and masculine body types to choose from. Furthermore, what body type and what gender your character has are  two completely separate concepts in FurryVNE. Meaning, you can for example create a very feminine character but with the opposite gender, or vice versa.

Shape customization

Further refine the shape of your character by tweaking inflation of bosom, hips and belly, in addition to a long array of sliders specifically tailored for each body type and head.

Skeleton customization

Define how big each bone in the body of your character is, influencing their shape.

Parts

Add additional parts to your character, such as ears, tails, fluff or other decorations.

Custom Import

Import custom 3D models from third party programs and use as a part in FurryVNE.

Physical Chains

Mark a part as physical, and start tweaking its physical behavior! Works excellently for tails and ears.

Procedural Texturing

Define layers and masks as a recipe for how your character is supposed to be colored. Change those colors at any time, and the entire character along with its layers will change in realtime.

Fur Authoring

Add more flair to your character by adding fur to them. You are able to define where this fur is added, as well as groom its length, direction and curving.

Appendages

Add details that are attached to the surface of your character, such as nails, teeth, scales and fluff. The instances will follow along with any deformation to the surface (such as expressions or soft body deformation).

Eyes

Specify the iris color, sclera color, pupil size, glow effect, and heterochromia options.

Eye lashes

Define both top and bottom eyelashes, their length, color and curving.

Gender

Define the gender of your character, or have them be genderless.

Clothing

FurryVNE supports the import and binding of custom cloth on your character. The actual garments themselves have to be authored outside of the app though.

Garments, like other objects in FurryVNE, can be colored using the in-app tools.

Fur cover

Prevent fur from sticking out of your garments by checking the fur cover options. FurryVNE will then automatically detect areas where fur will be cut out to prevent clipping. When toggling the cloth, the fur will update dynamically.

Also works for Appendages.

Custom Offsets

Refine your character further by exporting it to Blender, making additional shape modifications, and then bring it back in again!

Pose Mode

Create several different poses for your character in pose mode. This can work as an excellent reference tool (for drawing), or just to get a better feel for your character before you use them in animations.

Pose mode is also used to create screenshots of your character, which are used for uploads to the community cloud platform.

Inspirational Environments

Immerse yourself in thoughtfully crafted spaces, designed to evoke inspiration and a sense of tranquility.

Nature

A serene daytime environment featuring gentle sunlight filtering through lush trees, a tranquil body of water, and the soothing sound of birdsong. This setting provides an ideal backdrop to view your character in natural lighting.

Celestial

Be inspired by this ethereal, almost spiritual environment, immersing you in a celestial atmosphere where vibrant colors blend with the breathtaking panorama of the Milky Way.

Sky Temple (day) / (night)

In the sky temple maps, you'll find astonishing scenery atop a mountain, with clouds drifting through radiant sunlight. The daylight option bathes your character in full sunlight, while the nighttime version reveals their appearance against the serene darkness, with a starry sky and moonlit clouds adding to the atmosphere.

Creation Station

This space offers a variety of settings to explore different scenarios. You can measure your character's height in both meters and feet, and there are areas designed to resemble a bedroom, a kitchen, and an office. Additionally, there are various items and pieces of furniture to help you gauge how your character fits and interacts in these environments. It's an ideal setup for assessing your character in a range of contexts.

HDRIs

In addition to the above dynamic 3D environments, FurryVNE also offers a selection of static HDRIs that you can use to test your character in a diverse set of lighting conditions.

Banger Soundtrack

FurryVNE character creator offers a soothing and inspiring soundtrack, carefully designed to put you at ease. A variety of default tracks play on a loop, with certain environments featuring unique music before returning to the regular rotation.

Animation Editor

Keyframe Animation

Our animation editor enables you to create smooth, fluid animations using the widely-used technique known as keyframing. When you adjust a property, a keyframe is generated on a timeline. By interpolating these keyframes across the timeline, you achieve seamless motion. This approach is a standard practice in most 3D animation tools.

Keyframe Interpolation

With each keyframe, you can select an interpolation algorithm, allowing you to dramatically alter the motion while keeping the core values intact.

Timeline Events

You can define events along the timeline that trigger actions when the time marker passes them. When an event is activated, any attached action is executed. A variety of actions are available for you to choose from.

Animate property

Cause a property to be animated.

Goto step

Go to a specific step (see "Steps" below).

Play sound

Play a sound at a given location.

"Steps"

Timelines are defined within "steps". You can smoothly transition between these steps, each one with its own animation, opening up for opportunities to animate distinctly different sections, which the user is then able to jump between with ease.

Drivers

Drivers allow you to affect properties without having to create keyframes for them. This is achieved by "driving" the property through some means, for example through a low frequency oscillator (LFO), perlin noise, or through a relationship with another property.

In the demo below, we're driving the time handle value by a LFO.

Physical IK

Inverse Kinematics (IK) is a method used in animation and robotics to determine the necessary joint movements or angles in order to achieve a desired position of an end-effector (like a hand). Essentially, it makes animation much easier. Rather than rotating limbs manually, you simply just say what you want the end result to be, and the system computes the rest.

FurryVNE features an IK system based om physical calculations, creating natural motion.

Expressions

We offer a multitude of different expressions for each head that you can use in your animations. Like most other properties, these are of course keyframeable.

You are also able to define your own expressions (see "Custom Offsets").

Hand Placement

You can snap hands to any surface (including characters). The hand will automatically adjust its orientation for a natural touch. Fingers also adapt to grasp the object naturally.

Looking Controller

By default, characters in FurryVNE will automatically start looking at different points of interest, but you can also control the looking more directly by defining targets and animating them. You are of course able to keyframe all of this.

Narration

Create engaging and dynamic storytelling experiences with a rich set of features designed for both simple text presentation and complex narrative flow.

Cameras

Bring your story to life with dynamic camera control. Easily add and position multiple cameras, then animate their movement, zoom, and rotation to create stunning cinematic sequences and highlight key moments in your visual novel. From subtle pans to dramatic close-ups, you're in complete control of your scene's focus and flow.

Community Powered
